You post and hide behind anonymous screen name but have no reservation slandering the lawfirm handling the HOA's collections. Consequently, you don't present yourself as such a sympathetic poster here. For $3K dispute? Not taking lawfirm/HOA side but it's worth taking a step back...

1. Pay the bill.
2. Sue them in small claims for the $3K difference after close
3. Review Household v.Thaler case. Lots of prior discussions on this board
