Foreclosures in IL take 7 months to process.

Call Chicago Title Company in the area of your brother's property.

Ask to be connected with the customer service department.

When that department answers give them the address of the property and ask them who shows as the current owner.

If it's not your brother then ask them to email you a copy of the current owner's deed.

Call that new owner and ask what they did with the car and other personal property belonging to your brother.
