Buy the CA Recorder's manual - hard copy - and walk in with that under your arm. If Miss KnockDoc gives you a problem, ask both her and her supervisor to show you in the manual where it says that you cannot record a document that you have elected to modify for your benefit (not hers).

Tape record the conversation.

Videotape it.

Mention that you will be using it as an example of customer service level received at the next County Supervisor meeting.
