Are the utilities on? Is there mail coming into the mailbox? Try talking to the post man to see what happens to delivered mail.

Also, if you go into the Tax Collector's or Assessor's Office and look up the property it should have the mailing address used for tax bills. They cannot show it on the Internet but you can find out the information inside their office.

If everything keeps pointing to the address of the property you just purchased then you have a real strange case.
