It would be SO helpful if we knew what you were trying to accomplish. Theoretical questions, esp. about legal issues, are really not what this board does best. For example is this question related to the lead you posted previously and can you tell us how you are involved in it?

It is common and legal to be the settlor, successor trustee and bene of a trust. Done all day long. Can you describe how this is relevant to your deal?
