Not Smart, but Legal?

Thanks Rick, appreciate the response.
Was not really asking if it would be smart (for one person to be both), but more if it would be Legal (in Ca). There must be some reason, beyond search-ability, for suggesting using a non-disregarded, separate entity as the Trustee. Can the Trust just be Dissolved if/when challenged in court, since the Trustee/Beneficiary are the same ID?
