We have an interesting situation, it's actually a bank owned property...we've done almost nothing but bank owned the last 3 years and we've never seen this before. It came up on the prelim that they have until December to redeem, so they are wanting to delay closing until then. This seems crazy to me over $5,400, and we would lose valuable time of the peak season out here. We are requesting a "subject to" purchase of the lien, they credit us $5,400, and we take responsibility. My concern was that if we put $100k rehab into it, they will then redeem the property!
