Foreclosure and bank accounts.

Hello,

I have a unique situation.. So my parents owned a home where they roughly owed $50K. My dad had a bad stroke and they stopped paying it and it went into foreclosure... My parents have no assets here in the USA. The foreclosure went down in 2011-2012. Needless to say, my parents both have bad credit.

My father has property in another country that we are trying to sell. Long story short.... How do I know if it is possible that if we sell the property that the money can be deposited into a bank account in his name here? He has a bank account here with my mom on it where only his social security goes (he is 77). Once a month my mom withdraws it. Other thank that activity, there is no other activity. He has an account in the other country that the money can be deposite to but I am just wondering how to find out if anything is up with his accounts here. They dont seem to be frozen.
