Follow CA law or risk a lot of grief...

Hello,
I am about to try to purchase a property at auction in CA. The property has a ton of stuff left behind, both outside and inside. I have a pretty good understanding of California Civil Code 1980, however don't understand what to do with theproperty if not all of it is sold at a public auction. Are items that are not sold allowed to be then thrown in the trash?

I seriously suggest you re-read California's Civil Code §1980 to 1991 and §1965 again. Those statutes spell out in detail the procedure you need to follow regarding the disposal of abandoned personal property. Here are the URL's to help you along:
