If I understand your question correctly, you were high bidder at trustee sale regarding an HOA lien on a condo. You received a certificate of ownership, but you are still in the redemption period ( so you have not yet received the trustee's deed). The next door neighbor had a fire and it affected the condo that you bid on.

If the owner that owns the neighboring condo (the condo where the fire originated) had insurance, then that should cover your condo as his fire spread to your condo.

Either way, the HOA should have had a blanket fire policy that should cover the bulk of the damage.
