A phone number was provided in the Notice of Sale you saw in the newspaper. The sole information available at that number is the date on which the sale is currently scheduled to happen. By the way, that is the number of the trustee, not the lender.

Frequently the auctioneer calls out a notice of postponement at the time and place scheduled for the sale. The new date will also be announced on the trustee's phone line, anywhere from a few hours before the scheduled time to a few days afterward. If you really want current information, you need to attend the auction.
