CA Foreclosure/notice of Sale

Hello Everyone,
My house is currently in the foreclosure process. The notice of sale was published in the local paper on April 8th and has not been since. In the paper it said the sale date was 5/5/14 at 2:00 PM. When I do a search of the papers Public Notice Database it does not pop again...only the once...My understanding was that it had to be done at least once per week leading up to the day of the sale? Also I've never received a certified letter. Is there a way to find out if the date/time has changed without talking to the lender? Thanks for the help.
