Subject To - Social Security and Government assistance

Will taking property "subject to" affect the sellers social security benefits or any other government help to the seller? Seller is having cold feet saying he went to the SS office and they say it will affect his benefits. Not sure if this is accurate or not? I figure it shouldnt since deed is transferring with the loan being paid by investor. Any advice on this would greatly help.
