Innovest Resource Management BBB Business Review

Possession after HOA foreclosure

December 15, 2011 01:00PM
We were successful bidder on an HOA sale of a condo. We are aware that there is a 90 day redemption period, and that we take ownership subject to any senior liens (there is a 1st mortgage, but still equity in the property).

Question is regarding possession. The property appears to be vacant. Do we have to wait the 90 days to enter or do anything with the property? Or could we put a short-term tenant, who would be made aware of the situation, into the property so it's not sitting vacant for 3 months?

Thanks for any info.
