Just my humble opinion, but most former owners (90%) we have dealt with feel as though they were the victims. I have no doubt (although I cant prove it) that a very small percentage were actual victims. Thanks to the media, etc these former owners feel entitled to receiving money (cash for keys) in order to leave a home whose mortgage they haven't paid in 2 years (on average). I think its unfortunate that is swinging in favor of defaulted homeowners, but this is the business we are in and we will deal with it accordingly.
