realtor told me charming little craftsman I was contemplating buying in 10minutes at trustee sale was right near a valuable historic district and had value similar to those within the historic district. The fact was, mine was outside the historic district on a mediocre street. Got burned $40k. For now on, I don't consider historic stuff for added value. Just give me a simple cookie cutter 3 bed/2 bath, vanilla, plain jane and I will be happy with my 25k profit.
