: : Ward, I just found someone who is in forclosure, and she said that she has filed bankruptcy chap 13, but the are still in the process of doing that, so I guess the process has not been completed. What would you suggest I do? Tell her to cancell the bankruptcy? Can I buy the property even though they have filed bankruptcy?
: =======================

: Yes you can, but make sure you get the approval of the bankruptcy trustee or judge for your deal. That's because while someone is in a bankruptcy action they don't have total control of their assets and so selling any of them requires the Court's permission.

: They will often OK a deal if they think it improves their client's position.
