Is a "professional" title search enough?Is this a proper course of action? By subscribing to a service, you get a listing of all of the latest NOTS, and NODs. When you find one you like, you request a title company in the area to run a search. This would usually happens about 3 weeks before the TS so that you can do more research, etc. before the actual sale. Should you also plan on having another search done on the property the day before the sale, and is this enough? As noted in previous posts, homework is the key to a good deal, and without it, it is easy to get burned. If there is only a first mentioned in the search, and you are clearly buying from a jr., do I need to do more? I would think not. Follow Ups:
