: Eric, how much are you going to pay for a “professional” title search?? You can’t afford to pay much or you’ll spend all your money on research reports and have nothing left to buy a foreclosure with.

: Why not do the searches yourself at the county recorder’s office? Access to their records are free and the accuracy can’t be beat—title companies come in a distant second in that race.

I have a friend who works at a title company and as long as I don't make a huge number of requests there is no cost to me. And since this is to be a part-time venture (at the moment), if I can rely on a title company to do my research, it saves me a lot of time, and time off from my current job. So if cost is not a factor, was there anything else in the post that would concern you, and/or things I should look for?
