Innovest Resource Management BBB Business Review

Dropbox!

Great, FREE service

Admit it, you've done it too. You need to work on a file in a different location, so you email it to yourself or put it on a USB drive. You make changes to your document, but forget to email it to yourself again or don't have your thumb drive handy. Dang!

Dropbox solves that problem and others you haven't even thought about. It's a free service that will allow you to initially have 2 GB online for free, to use for syncing or backing up or file sharing. After you sign up, install the desktop app which will create a Dropbox folder on your computer. Everything you put into that folder will be sync'd with all your other computers that you've installed Dropbox on. No emailing yourself or finding an empty USB drive. Just start putting all your documents into your Dropbox folder. What if you're traveling without your computer? No problem, remember Dropbox is not only syncing between your computers, but also online. You can upload or download your files from their website. All for free.

If you sign up with the link below, we'll both get an extra 250 MB of storage for free. Keep referring your friends and get up to 8 GB of additional storage for free (10 GB total). Of course, they have a "pro" version as well where you can pay to store a lot more.

We've been using Dropbox to send large audio files as well as all our master forms to you after training. To accomplish that, we need you to share a folder with us. Don't worry, it's not your whole account, just one folder. Don't be surprised if we de-link your folder from us after we drop your files, so that your shared folder is not included in our storage allocation.

To Share a Folder With Us:
After you've created your account, log into your Dropbox account online. Go to the tab marked "Files".

DropBox Files Tab

Now click on the tab marked "Share a folder".

DropBox Share a Folder Tab

The default option that comes up is to share a new folder. That's great, so leave that alone.
You need to name the folder, then choose "Next". You can name it anything that makes
sense to you. I'm going to name the folder "InnoVest Training".

DropBox Share Folder Dialog Box

You can see below I titled my folder, "InnoVest Training". Now it needs to be shared with
support@foreclosureforum.com, so type that in the dialog box. Click "Share folder" and
you're done!

DropBox Share Finish

We'll get an email indicating you're sharing a folder with us. We'll drop all of your files in there.
Documents sync almost immediately, but the audio files can take a bit more time.

That's about it. Please call if you have any questions, 619-283-5444.
