Re: request from bankIn Reply to: request from bank posted by Camille Calenda on March 11, 2004 at 10:28 PM : Hi Ward-- : I put our own residence into a THT and notified the bank with the letter, a copy of the transfer deed and the certificate of trust. The bank called me and asked for a copy of my trust agreement because they said the trustee was not myself or Nick. I told the representative that the certificate of trust that I provided is all that is needed. She said they needed to see that we were the owners or bene's so I faxed her just the bene page from the trust agreement. Shortly after I received a letter from the bank saying that the title transfer was approved but they included a trust agreement and they said "please have the enclosed trust agreement executed and return it along with a check for $250". I guess since I would not give them my trust agreement they made one up that they want us to sign. How do you suggest I handle this request? : Thank you, What do they need a check for $250 for? Was that a provision in your loan docs that you signed? Why do you not want to send them your trust agreement? One approach would be to ignore them unless the letters get nastier and then perhaps a letter from an attorney stating that your Trust Declaration is private and cannot be revealed without a court order will get them off your back.
