Percentage of properties actually sold at scheduled auctions

Posted by Edward on February 06, 2004 at 6:53 PM

To folks who go to auctions:

What do you see as far as the percentage of properties actually being sold to a third party? What is the percentage of REOs?

Looking at Retran.net I notice that if an LA County auction is scheduled for the next day, there is only about 15% chance it will be sold at that auction and about 5% chance it will go the bank. The rest our rescheduled, stopped through bankruptcies, cancelled or some other stuff.

Are these the numbers you are seeing these days? Do these numbers vary depending on the market situation?
