Use the missing husband's SSN...In Reply to: no social security ID posted by rickR on November 20, 2003 at 7:03 PM
: I just runed into a Lady that is selling her property becouse the bank is about to foreclose on it. But she doesn't have a social security number (iligal alien). Her husband was the oringinal owner, with a valid social security ID card, but he quick claimed it to her a few months ago, and desappeared. Question: can the Wife sell the property if she does not have a social security number, and more importantly would I be able to get title insurance if the title company realizes that she does not have one? Rick, Just have the owner use the social security number of her missing husband. That’s the least he can do...since he’s disappeared. Hope this helps.
