No myth...

In Reply to: Is the legend of janitor becoming a millionaire foreclosure purchaser. posted by realtor on October 30, 2003 at 6:06 PM

: I have read several posts with tidbits relating to a janitor that is working with large sums of money and actively buying foreclosure homes in So cal. Is this an urban myth or a true story?
===============

No, it's a true story. Gregg Metcalf was my first foreclosure trainee around 1986. He's grown out of just Orange County and is now also buying foreclosures in Riverside, San Bernardino and Los Angeles counties.

I remember him telling me in 02/01 that he had bought 450 foreclosures at the court house steps in year 2000 and that at the time we were talking (02/01) he had 240 houses in inventory.

So there's no urban myth about Gregg.
