>>I've heard Landlords use some form of "I can pay a lawyer $100 to get you out or if you are out by Sunday afternoon I can pay you $100." You can create your own bribe, but first check with your state's laws on eviction process. Just be sure to follow thru on your word,,, so far you are not doing so good with that. Be serious Well, I'm trying to follow Ward's advice of not paying people to move. These guys have lived in the house since October of 2002 without making a payment. They have already pocked plenty, un unpaid mortgage bills. I did go back to the house tonight, knocked on the door, and no response. (A few lights on inside, but no TV or radio.) So I give it 50/50 chance I was being avoided... At any rate, I pinned thier final notice by the door, which told them I'd be back Oct 2 for the keys. The notice said if they release the keys, I'd let them have that weekend of the 3rd-5th to move their belongings. My gut feeling already, is that they either won't open the door again, or will deliberately not be home that night. A year of foreclosure has probably trained them to think they can just delay and put things off, and that deadlines mean nothing. It's only a month after buying my first foreclsoure... and I may be learning how to do my first eviction...
