Investor wants me to pay him back

Posted by Jucel on August 29, 2003 at 10:26 AM

Ward, I flipped a property to another investor, in the middle of this owner files for chap 13, with out our knowledge. Loan was up to current, showed him pay off statement and told him taxes was impounded. B.K. was lifted and escrow closes(he used a realtor to sell the house) now he wants $3,100 from me because of the extra expenses that was acrued, and said that I lied from him. I explained it to him as an investor this are the risk that we take and I am not responsible for anything he said he consulted an attorney and I am responsible for it.
