You can blanket a property in foreclosure.In Reply to: blanket TD posted by damien melle on August 07, 2003 at 7:31 AM : Ward, : I got some answers on a double TD, or blanket TD, I just wanted your opinion on such a matter. Its regarding a loan I underwrote for a homeowner. He did not have enought equity in his primary residence, but in foreclosure. SO the TD will be attached to his secondary property. However the investor funding asked if we could place a lien on both properties.. I am not convinced this would be good to do, given all the rules regarding working with foreclosure properties.. WHats your input? : Thanks Damien =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Damien, In my opinion I think you're OK to include the property in foreclosure as one of the properties securing a blanket trust deed.
