Ward: Isn't advising Chap. 13 considered legal advice?

Posted by Daniel on July 07, 2003 at 10:48 AM

Ward, or anyone else knowledgeable,

Isn't advising a trustor to file chapter 13 (and then to cancel it) in order to buy time considered giving legal advice, and thus can't we potentially get in trouble since we aren't lawyers?
This is big concern for me, especially since the main selling point of being able to "stop a foreclosure in two hours" hinges on this trick?

Thanks in advance, and keep up the great work on this site!
- Daniel
