It's simple enough that Nolo Press even offers a book on doing your own bankruptcy. : =-=-=--=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Right, but surely there's a difference between writing about how to do something, and actually suggesting to someone specifically that they should do legal filings in order to accomplish a goal that they (and you) have. I guess what I really would like to clear up in my head is where the line is drawn between real legal advice and just consulting, or what you would call assisting people who are in foreclosure. Is there even a line or is this one of those blobby multiple criteria discernments (like whether someone is a contractor or an employee)?
