Bargaining chip...In Reply to: Trust questions posted by FrankCA on May 25, 2003 at 12:49 AM : I need some help with this puzzle. Owner conveys title to a title holding trust. Owner is the beneficiary and I am the trustee. I start processing a Short Sale. What will the lender think when it sees that trustee and buyer are one in the same? How does title get transferred to me as the buyer? (I am thinking that trustee can't deed to buyer because they are the same person.) What say you? =•=•=•=•=•=•=•=•=•=•=•= The bargaining chip in the short sale is that if the lender doesn’t accede to taking less than what they’re owed, then the buyer won’t go through with the sale and the lender will have to slog through a foreclosure.
