HEY WARDIn Reply to: Re: Just missing the big picture. posted by Ward-CA- on September 19, 2001 at 7:00 PM I went to yur class to. Great class. I'm confsed because you told us the bidding is to violent at trust sales. So what diference does it make if you have millions of dollars in your pocket? Are you saying this guy shows up and everyone throws up their hands in frustration and leave the room swearing because he'll outbid them no matter what the price goes too? Not trying too be sarcastic, just trying to undrstand. Thanks. Larry
: : I must be missing something. How is he doing 300 deals a year at the courthouse steps when amateurs are bidding up most properties to 80% FMV? I presume he's no dumb cluck and doing the same. What's he doing to find so many deals that make financial sense? : =•=•=•=•=•=•=•=•=•=•==•=• : Ron, he has millions of dollars available to him at any moment. He has runners in each of the other counties attending the sales for him. He has a staff in Orange County analyzing the deals. Since he’s such a ferocious bidder with almost unlimited funds he is the 800# gorilla everybody avoids. : So there are numerous times each month where he faces no competition and steals properties. Then whenever anyone has the temerity to bid against them he refuses to let them buy—just keeps bidding until they drop out. Yuppies get frustrated very quickly and quit and that’s part of Gregg’s strategy.
