He has runners in each of the other counties attending the sales for him. He has a staff in Orange County analyzing the deals. Since he’s such a ferocious bidder with almost unlimited funds he is the 800# gorilla everybody avoids. So there are numerous times each month where he faces no competition and steals properties. Then whenever anyone has the temerity to bid against them he refuses to let them buy—just keeps bidding until they drop out. Yuppies get frustrated very quickly and quit and that’s part of Gregg’s strategy.
