Re: LA foreclosureIn Reply to: No appraisals before a foreclosure posted by SeanW on April 19, 2003 at 3:55 PM In Louisiana, if the lender is seeking to preserve their rights for a deficiency judgment, the minimum bid must be 2/3 of appraised value. If the lender isn't preserving their rights, the opening bid will be an amount equal to the court costs. The LA process is different than most states, but that's my understanding of it.
