common practiceIn Reply to: still don't get it posted by Kristine-CA on January 02, 2010 at 11:01 AM pros no doubt have deeper pockets. they can afford to overbid as a group, to try and eliminate competition. if you look at history, this is how the big 3 became the big 3. whenever one of the independent models was too much better, they simply underpriced their cars, until the little guys went belly up. if you take a small foreclosure clique, each could take turns bidding up. the little guy is much more apt to stop bidding first, cuz he doesnt know as much, etc.
