I have not seen any exciting loan modifications, but that is
honorable that your friend seeks one. Titanium Solutions is big
on Loan Modifications, you might be able to get some info from
them, Titaniuminc.com , I believe is there website. Otherwise,
financial hardship: loss of income, medical, anything that creates
the situation of not being able to meet the house payment
obligation, what makes it somewhat difficult is that you still
have to be able to 'afford' the modified loan. I do not believe
that it is a very successful approach for the consumer overall.
Also, try the HUD site, there might be useful info there for you.
