: ============= : Bill, hopefully the lady carried back a promissory note for the money owed her, secured by a recorded deed of trust. If so all she has to do, with no out-of-pocket expense, is to start a foreclosure with a professional trustee (I can recommend some if you wish). Here in CA we dont need lawyers or any court procedure since the foreclosure process is all non-judicial. : Hope this helps.
