: In New Jersey, if you foreclose on an unredeemed tax lien certificate,
: your force the redemption via foreclosure. In all liklihod, the
: tax certificate lienholder will not acquire the property thru foreclosure.

: However, if you do foreclose a tax lien certificate and the homeowner
: neglects to respond to the foreclosure, and you are the only bidder at Sheriff's
: Sale, you can acquire the property free and clear UNLESS there are
: any Federal Tax Liens.

: I don't think that you are entitled to any interest on premium paid
: which is held by, and returned to you from the municipal or city Tax
: Collector at the time of redempton.
