Property in Trust / Primary Residence Tax Exemption
Am I correct in assuming that you can take the 2 year Primary Residence Tax Exemption whether or not the property is in a trust? Do you know where there is anything in writing substantiating that? Does the loan need to be in the owner's name? What if 4 family members all live in a primary residence and they all pay the mortgage, can they write off 1/4 of the mortgage interest each every year?
