problem with Landlord insurance using Land Trust

Posted by Nancy LA on March 31, 2004 at 9:29 AM

I put my rental under a land trust, then send a letter to the insurance company telling them to add my Trustee as one of the "loss payee". the insurace agent got panic over this, saying that he doesn't think they can do this, that he'll look around, and the cost of coverage might be higher.
I told him that I'm also the co-trustee, besides the trust is Living Revocable trust. Have any one had similar problem? anything I can tell him so that he'll feel more comfortable?

THe property is in San Bernadino county,CA.

Appreciate your help!
thanks !!

Nancy
