forec;losure consultant civil code question

Posted by zachary on March 30, 2004 at 10:41 AM

Ward,

I was told that inorder to collect moeny for services under the foreclosure consultant civil code that you must be a lic. real estate agent.
I read thru the code and did not find that....may be I misread.

the reason I'm asking is that I'm working with a few people in foreclosure to get hard money loans. these are people that are in the beginning of the NOD, have jobs, decent equity and the desire to keep their homes. They'll refinance thru some one esle any ways so I might as well make something on it when they call.
I have a local HML lender that will lend to these people based on equity and income, and wil lpay me 1 to 2 points per loan.

Do i need to be a real estate agent to leagally be a foreclosure consultant??

thanks

zachary
