Not to mention you must keep the taxes current. Are you willing to wait that long? ================= Yes, there's 5 years involved and the property taxes have to be paid, but in this instance Bill already owns half of the property and a family member is occupying the entirety. He’s not subject to the same risk of ejectment from the 50% owner like a true outsider would be.
