: They are filed in the superior court clerks office of the county where : This last part I still need to get clear. ================ Todd, Here in San Diego County we have 4 judicial districts, each with its own Superior Court. So if your procedure regarding searching for judgments was in place here in CA, I'd have to go to all four Superior Courts (North, South, East and Central) that are stretched out to the extremities of this huge county! And at each court clerk's office, is there a 10 year civil index of plaintiffs and defendants arranged in alphabetical order that I could search through to find if a judgment exists against the target homeowner? If such an index exists, is it available via the internet? I like the obtuseness of your system.
