There's no multi-state service that I know of...In Reply to: Ward - Is there anything similar to County Records Research in other states? posted by Patrick on March 18, 2004 at 7:15 PM
==================== Patrick, County Records Research (CRR) doesn’t provide information regarding ALL liens against a property. They limit it to all VOLUNTARY liens of record, such as all trust deeds. That’s only a portion of all liens. For example, CRR doesn’t list any of the INVOLUNTARY liens such as mechanic’s liens or abstracts of judgment or IRS tax liens, etc. The only commercially available foreclosure reporting service, that I know of, that lists ALL liens and interests against title is Retran (see www.retran.com). And Retran is only available for Los Angeles County. However, you don’t have to be limited to finding some special service to give you all liens and interests recorded against the title of real property. You can actually learn how to do it quickly and accurately yourself and then be able to go anywhere in the U.S. and not be bamboozled for lack of complete title record info. We teach beginners how to do it in 3 days. Follow Ups:
