REDEEMER DISCLAIMED
Our state of New Mexico has a 30 day right of redemption. We are purchasing redemption rights from a lady who lost $200K on a second mortgage. First mortgage was 300K and the lady with the second disclaimed any and all interest in the case to avoid more attorney fees. First mortgage decided to sell for 52K and was high bidder. We petitioned court first with $52.4K with the disclaimer's redemption rights. I assume another party with redemption rights is going to challenge. My attorney say there is no appellate cas law that has been heard in the upper courts on this question. Any other states with similar situation?
