: You could also bring several C.checks in different amounts,
: I.E. your willing to bid 200K bring a 100K cc, a 50K cc,
: a 25K cc and 2 10K plus 1 5K... you could then make change
: to a point where your over would be minimum and not tie up
: desperatly needed cash.

Jerry,

On the subject of what denominations of Cashier’s Checks (CC) to bring... I’ve discovered that a doubled-up denomination works best. So in the case where you know that the opening bid is $150,000 you might as well bring an initial check for $150,000 and then:

One CC for 1,000, and
another for 2,000, and
another for 4,000, and
another for 8,000, and
another for 16,000, and
and finally, another for 32,000

With this combination you could cover any combination, in thousand dollar increments, from $150,000 up to $213,000 dollars.

Hope this helps.
