Emergency Petition in Chapter 13 bankruptcy...In Reply to: stopping Trustee Sale posted by Jeff on February 24, 2004 at 5:04 PM : How can I advise my client to stop the Trustee Sale this Friday morning. I need more time to close the purchase of her home. My investment partners, and their company, are willing to do an equity buyout. : Jeff Gamby Jeff, Have your client file an emergency petition in a Chapter 13 bankruptcy. That will stop the foreclosure long enough to allow you to close your deal.
