: the previous owner filed the bk after i bought the house in the auction and filed an eviction.My attorney suggest me to file a r elief.Can anybody tell me how long she can postpone the eviction. What else she can file after i file a relief?

You will get a very fast hearing on your request for a hearing in Bankruptcy Court for relief from the automatic stay. It won't take you any longer than two weeks to lift the stay if you use an experienced bankruptcy attorney.

Once you get your relief you'll be free to continue in your local court for action on your eviction lawsuit.
