: the previous owner filed the bk after i bought the house in the auction and filed an eviction.My attorney suggest me to file a r elief.Can anybody tell me how long she can postpone the eviction. What else she can file after i file a relief? You will get a very fast hearing on your request for a hearing in Bankruptcy Court for relief from the automatic stay. It won't take you any longer than two weeks to lift the stay if you use an experienced bankruptcy attorney.
