Major and minor co-trustee'sIn Reply to: THT posted by Lughead on February 06, 2004 at 7:52 PM : hello : may we use say John Smith as trustee but name ourself as "co-trustee" inside the trust declaration... : the reason would be anonimity on public record, but not having the need to have our trustee sign every little document - he could sign our "more important" docs (deed, etc) and we could do day to day matters (lease, etc) : OR...would the co-trustee need to be on public record?? : thank you ================= Lug, Yes, you could have several co-trustee’s listed in the trust agreement and specify which one does what. Like, trustee “A” would sign all documents affecting the title of the property, while trustee “B” would sign all other documents not affecting the property’s title. The trustee who would be limited to dealing with day to day matters wouldn’t have to be known to the public at large and thus not appear in the public record. Hope this helps.
