Re: Next step . . . foreclosure.In Reply to: Next step for a self-financing Lienholder posted by craig on November 20, 2001 at 11:11 PM : Several years ago I sold (and self-financed) 2 properties of land...each with a Deed of Trust (with Trustee named) and secured by a Lien, here in Texas. : The purchasers have defaulted on multiple counts, including: (1) nonpayment of property taxes (2) deliquent principal and interest payments (3) plus these 2 brothers combined their separately deeded properties into one without my permission. : At this point I would like to simply re-possess the property without forclosure-- is this possible? =========== Craig, to regain title to property you have sold, you would have to get the present owners to deed it back to you or you would have to foreclose against the trust deeds and hope no other bidder at the subsequent trustees sale bids the properties up higher than you want to go.
