In Reply to: Help-Property up for auction w/secured bail bond of 100,000! posted by Shelly on February 02, 2004 at 12:02 AM

: Need Help,
: I was planning on bidding on a property that is in default with the first. It has a lot of junior liens, but there is a secured on the deed of $100,000 by a bail bond. Is this something I should stay away from? Will it too get wiped off? Thanks.
====================

Shelly,

A bail bond that is secured by a voluntary trust deed or mortgage is wiped off the title of the property if it was recorded later in time than the foreclosing lien.

It's like any other recorded lien?it gets it's seniority from the time/date it was recorded.
